La Haute Manceliere is a charming 17th century longere converted into 3 cottages for let all year long. It is situated in a quiet, pretty hamlet, in the heart of the Brittany countryside. It is set in 2 acres of lawned gardens in the middle of which is a large heated swimming pool, which is heated from the beginning of April to end October Despite its rural location, the property is only a 45 minute drive from the long, sandy beaches of the Emerald Coast. The 3 cottages sleep 12, 8 and 4 and can be let either individually or together for large groups. The gites are available to rent all year round and have excellent heating for winter lets. Ideal for families, there is a play area for young children, a trampoline and a boules court among other things.

The world famous Mont St Michel is only a 25 minute drive away. The beautiful walled town of St Malo with its lovely sandy beaches is only 45 minutes away, as is the charming medieval town of Dinan. Rennes, with its cobbles streets and pavement cafes is only a 40 minutes and Fougeres, with its chateau and busy market is only 15kms from us. In the beautiful forest of Villecartier, only a 10 minute drive, you can walk in the woods, hire bicycles, do poney riding or simply sit in the bar/restaurant with a dring and enjoy the lovely lake and forest surrounding. There are several golf courses within a 45 minute drive away for golf enthusiasts. We are happy to book any tee off times. There is also fishing available in the lakes and rivers around the nearby area.

The cottages date back to the early 17th century and the whole longere was once a working farm. It now consits of a large 6 bedroom property, the farmhouse, a charming 2 bedroom cottage, Gite 2 (complete with an original spiral staircase), and very pretty deceptively large 3 bedroom cottage, Gite 1. All cottages have modern appliances, including washing machines, English TV and video. The two larger cottages also have dishwashers. They are all very comfortably furnished and bed linen and bath towels are included in the rent. Outside, leading onto the large garden, all areas have their own private dining and barbecue areas, complete with lovely wooden chairs and tables. The swimming pool is fully enclosed and has the added advantage of childproof safety gates. There is also and abri, which is lifted or removed in good weather and in cooler weather can be left on so you can comfortably swim in an indoor environment. It also keeps the pool heated to several degrees above the normal outdoor pool.

This original farmhouse is a large, beamed cottage which has been tastefully converted and retains many original features. It has a large open plan traditional salon area with a fitted kitchen, large dining table and large living area complete with wood burner. There is Godin range and cooker, a washing maching and a dishwasher. Downstairs there are also two large double bedrooms and a toilet and shower/bathroom. Upstairs, there are four more bedrooms, the large master bedroom complete with walk in wardrobe, two twin bedded rooms and a bunk bed room. There is a second shower room and toilet on this floor. Gite 1 is a pretty cottage full of character. There is a large salon area, with a fitted kitchen, large dining table and living area. Appliances include washing machine, dishwasher, UK satellite TV, DVD and video. Downstairs there is a large double bedroom, a bathroom and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, another double bedroom and a large 'childrens' room with 2 single beds and a bunk bed.
