Five beautiful holiday cottages set alongside the British owners' farmhouse, in typical Brittany countryside. La Lohuas has over 4 acres of gardens and quiet secluded woodland with a large family friendly play area for children of all ages. Each self-catering gite has been completely modernised and is fully equipped for the perfect family holiday. Wheelchair access is available in one of our gites with disabled facilities.

The gites are within easy reach of many of the fabulous beaches and attractions in the area. Our farmhouse gites are only 5 minutes drive from the medieval town of Dinan on the River Rance, with its castle, squares, shops and restaurants - open all year round. There are many other historic towns to visit such as St Malo, Lamballe, Dinard and Combourg. Parks, chateaux, shops, markets, golf courses, horse riding, fishing and sailing are all available locally. There are parks for all the family featuring numerous attractions such as an excellent water park (Cobac Park), trains, boats, mini golf, karting and impressive gardens.
There are two zoos within 15 minutes drive of the gites. St Malo hosts a large aquarium with a spectacular doughnut shaped shark tank and the amazing Nautibus underwater ride. The classic tourist spot of Mont St Michel, a picturesque monastry set on a granite top.
There are many high quality golf courses. Tee off times and club hire can be arranged by your hosts. Horse riding excursions and lessons can be made with a local stable.

La Lohuas is a farmhouse set in over 4 acres of gardens surrounded by rolling fields and wooded countryside making this the perfect location to start any holiday. Our farmhouse gites, Pomme, Poire and Cerise, are only 5 minutes drive from the medieval town of Dinan, about 25 minutes drive from St Malo and the beaches on the north coast of Brittany. Facilities onsite include a fenced children's play area suitable for all children, with swings, slides, and a trampoline. Also here are lawns for football, croquet, boule and badminton. Away from the children's area, there is a larger secluded and tranquille area with many trees and a pretty stream.

The three gites are amazingly spacious and have been sympathetically modernised to give you practical and beautiful accommodation. The gites are situated in a courtyard around the main house. They are all constructed with traditional Breton stone walls under a slate roof, helping to keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Each gite has their own south-facing terrace with patio furniture and barbeque. Each gite has been extensively refurbished and fitted to a high standard.

The British owner, Caroline Haycox, lives on-site and is always available to help make the most of your stay. Providing local knowledge to help you to find activities suitable to your own interests. Speaking fluent French, she will help you to overcome the language barrier, thus making it easy to experience French and Breton culture first hand.

Cerise is a spacious three bedroomed gite split over two floors. The terrace at the front is equipped with patio furniture and barbecue and faces south. The living area is open plan with exposed beams and a ceramic tiled floor. There is a new fitted kitchen area with fan oven and gas hob with extractor hood, microwave oven, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. The kitchen area has been designed so that food can be prepared, but without the need to be excluded from the rest of the holiday fun. There is a dining table and chairs and a comfortable lounge area with a 3 seater sofa and separate sofa bed. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a light and airy south-facing bedroom with a double bed and fitted wardrobe for hanging space. This room has an ensuite bathroom with shower, wc and basin. There is ample room for a cot in this room. The other two bedrooms are both twin bedded rooms with Velux windows. A separate bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin is available on the first floor for bedrooms two and three.
A stairgate is provided at the top of the staircase for the safety of younger children.

Poire is a 2 bedroomed gite. The south-facing terrace is equipped with patio furniture and barbecue, and overlooks the raised water feature at the front of La Lohuas. The living room is light and airy with a homely feel containing a 3 seater sofa and additional sofa bed. The recently redecorated living room retains the original exposed oak beams. This gite has a refitted kitchen with modern, country style units including stainless steel electric fan oven, gas hob and cooker hood. There is large fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. A beautiful master bedroom with four-poster bed and ensuite shower room with toilet, there is a separate hand basin situated within the room.
A spacious twin bedded room with hand basin, Velux window and feature oak beams. There is an ensuite shower room. A stairgate is provided at the top of the staircase for the safety of younger children.

Pomme is a 2 bedroomed gite. The front of the gite faces west, so the terrace attracts the evening sun. There are small windows to the rear which overlook the play area and grounds. The living/dining room has exposed beams and a ceramic tiled floor. There is a table and chairs to seat six and sofa, rocking chair and chaise longue. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine double bedroom. Please note that the stairs are quite steep but are fitted with a stairgate. The kitchen has been refitted with modern, country style units including stainless steel electric fan oven, gas hob and cooker hood. There is a fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. The master bedroom, with a double bed, is a cosy room set in the eaves of this beamed cottage. The staircase, fitted with a stairgate, leads into this room. Bedroom 1 has a door that leads into this second twin bedded room with a Velux window.

Newly renovated, Abricot gite has been beautifully converted from the former grange of the farm.

The spacious ground floor contains the lounge with high natural oak beamed ceilings, and some exposed stone walls. There is a dining corner and a comfortable three piece suite, off this main room is a toilet and washbasin room. There is an open plan kitchen area in the main room, with gas cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and dishwasher.



The stairs lead to three bedrooms, one double with ensuite shower room and one twin bedded room which overlook the courtyard. The third bedroom is a three person room with bunkbed and one single bed. Next to this is the bathroom with toilet, washbasin and bath.

Recently renovated, Fraise gite provides very large self-catering accomodation conprising of lounge with a high natural oak beamed ceilings, and some exposed stone walls. There is a separate kitchen/breakfast room with gas cooker, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Also leading off the lounge is a large downstairs bedroom with a large wet-room type ensuite shower room, with a seat available for the shower area and handrails for the toilet. The doors downstairs are all extra width to allow wheelchair passage.


This gite has been equipped to provide the possibility of accommodation for families with the need for disabled or reduced mobility facilities. There is parking next to the patio and a small shallow ramp which leads to the front door.


The stairs lead to two further bedrooms, one double with ensuite shower room which overlooks the courtyard and one twin bedded room with an ensuite bathroom.


Outside is a patio area surrounded by flowerbeds, with table and chairs and a barbecue.
