This pretty stone cottage sleeps up to six people in two double and two single bedrooms.
The rural location is very tranquil with only the occasional car passing the house.
There are restaurants, bars and shops in the near by village of Neant sur Yvel.

The quiet roads make this an excellent area for walking and cycling. Just by leaving the house and following your nose your can have an enjoyable day exploring the area. However, there are some well defined cycling and walking routes in the area which include the Forêt de Brocéliande. The forest is steeped in Arthurian legend and is an excellent place for walking and cycling. The Voie Verte is 52km cycling/walking path running through the local countryside and is an excellent way to see the area.

The Nantes-Brest Canal is another route not to be missed by the cyclist or walker. It passes though many of the prettiest towns and villages in the area including Josselin, with its striking Chateau, and Malestroit, with its beautiful half timbered buildings.

If you prefer a more relaxed method of seeing the canal, there are boat rental outlets at Malestroit and Josselin. Only a 10 minute drive away,
Lac au Duc offers a range of activities including sailing, wind surfing, canoeing, pedlos, swimming waterskiing, tennis, trampolines, a play area and golf.
There is also a beach and there are pleasant walks around the lake.


The local markets are not to be missed. The best ones are Malestroit on Thursdays and Josselin on Saturday. You can combine a trip to either market with a picnic by the side of the Nantes-Brest canal. Alternatively, enjoy a cup of the local cider outside one of the local bars and enjoy the view of the well-preserved medieval buildings.

In Josselin, the gothic chateau is a dramatic aside to the Nantes Brest canal. It also has a garden which is open during the summer months and a doll museum.
Another local attraction is the Chateau de Comper-en-Brocéliande. Located at the northern edge of the Forêt de Brocéliande, near Concoret, the Chateau is believed to be the birthplace of the enchantress, Viviane.
If you fancy a day by the sea, there are beaches about an hour away in the Gulf of Morbihan near Vannes.The Baie de Quiberon offers safe, sandy beaches.

The ground floor of the cottage comprises one very large room including a comfortable seating area, dining area and corner kitchen.


The Seating area includes:

Sofa, armchairs and a coffee table
French television
DVD player (which also plays music CDs) & Radio
Cabinet containing jigsaws, board games and boules set
Bookcase containing a wide range of literature
Electric radiator


The Dining area includes:

Dining table and chairs

Original fireplace with wood burning stove

Large breton style dresser containing crockery and glasses


The Kitchen area includes:

Gas hob

Combination microwave with conventional oven and grill facility
Washing machine,Toaster, electric kettle, sink & plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils, Food storage cupboards


The First Floor

The two double bedrooms are of equal size and offer pleasant views to the front of the house
Both have a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside cabinets/lamps and electric radiator
The two single bedrooms have pretty dormer windows overlooking the countryside to the rear of the house
Please note: you have to walk through one corner of the first single bedroom in order to reach the second
 A cot is available on request.

The shower room includes a shower, WC and wall heater.
