Two gites within a pretty courtyard setting, five minutes from Lac de Guerledan in the heart of Brittany. One 4 bedroomed house sleeping up to 9 with a large open plan living area and a two bedroom cottage sleeping 4/5 with living kitchen. The house and cottage can be interlinked for larger groups and guests have use of a covered BBQ area that leads to a picnic/play area within the garden offering views of the river Blavet. Feed our hens and collect an egg for breakfast. Many cycle routes and walks from the doorstep with the Nantes/Brest canal running parallel to the river. Or leave your car and stroll along the flowery village of St. Aignan with its two bars, one with restaurant, and a village shop where fresh bread is delivered daily.
'Le Touldren Gites' is the perfect tranquil setting from which to explore the charms of Brittany whilst being within easy reach of the bustling and historic towns Pontivy, Josselin and Guingamp.

A five minute drive or a longer walk brings you to Lac de Guerledan. Around its shores are several places where activities such as watersports and mountain biking are on offer, with bars, restaurants & childrens play areas. Walking and orienteering is very popular in the surrounding peaceful and unspoilt countryside, there are routes to suit all levels of ability and energy! The village of St. Aignan also has a muti-media center, tennis courts and a museum. The Nantes-Brest canal runs along side the river and has a path that goes right through to Pontivy. Pontivy is our nearest large town with many bars, restaurants, charming shops & the Chateau de Rohan.

Each gite has smoke alarms and electric heaters for the colder months, with kitchens fully equipped. Bring your favorite dvd's for rainy days, they do happen, or entertaining the children whilst you sip wine in the courtyard.

Laburnum house is only available from June to September it has 4 bedrooms over two floors, each floor having its own shower and toilet, with a spacious kitchen and living area. The house dates back to 1840 and has a large granite fireplace, exposed beams and other character features. A 'Z' bed and cot are available for any extra little people and one of the double rooms also has a single bed. Sky free view and dvd player. Overlooks pretty central courtyard with shared bbq area and gardens boarded by the river Blavet. Can be let with smaller gite to create larger accommodation via an internal door sleeping a maximum of 13.

The Old Farm Cottage was the original farm house, with exposed beams throughout and a large fire place on the second floor you can imagine the cattle sleeping below. Set over three floors, on the top floor is a twin bedded room with its own separate shower and toilet, a double sledge bed on the first floor with separate shower and toilet and on the ground floor an open plan kitchen, lounge/diner. All rooms in the cottage over look the pretty main courtyard leading to a covered BBQ and eating area taking you out into the gardens and river. The cottage is fitted with everything you need to make it a home from home and as we live on site if you are short of anything we will endeavor to provide it for you.
