We are in a typical rural Village, Glomel, it is 3 km off the N164, on the D3, between Charhiax and Rostrenen. Approx 1 hr 15 mins from Roscoff ferry port/ Brest airport. St Malo ferry port and Dinard airport are approx 2hrs away. Perfect for breaking your journey to the south or on your way back. Why not stay a little longer and enjoy this beautiful area.The Brest to Nantes canal skirts the village and is fed by lake Etang du Corong which is a five min walk from the house. Here you can indulge in fishing, swimming and all non-motorised water activities. It has a man made beach with boat hire and beach bar ( open high season only) We are ideally placed for house hunting in Brittany. We have four en-suite rooms all with small refrigerators, Tea/ Coffee Trays and CD Radios, also a large dinning room and comfortable sitting room with UK sky TV, Secluded garden with BBQ, games rooms with table tennis, darts etc, free use of four adult mountain bikes. Storage available for bikes, canoes etc Well behaved dogs are most welcome. Discount available on weekly stays, stay six nights get the seventh night free, ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED.
 

Glomel is a centre for sporting and recreational activities.
Lake Etang du Corong is at the bottom of the lane which runs alongside the house, it offers fishing, swimming, and boating for non-motorized craft. There is a man-made beach. Several woodland walks can be taken around the shore line. The Brest to Nantes canal is great for canoeing, fishing, walking and cycling. The canal skirts the village and the area abounds with many walking and cycle ways, A pony club/riding school is just five mins away. Glomel itself has a Cafe bar, Pub/bar with pool table etc, Boulangerie, Mini market/Tabac as well as Pharmacie, Post office, Hair dressers and Restaurants Rostrenen is a pleasant market town with Tuesday's being Market day, it is about seven mins up the road and offers a larger selection of Shops, Bars, Restaurants and supermarkets. A tourist information centre is also here. Carhaix ( which is the Capitol of central Brittany) is a larger town and is approx fifteen mins drive in the opposite direction, where you can find the Hospital, Railway station, Cinema, Vets, more shops, restaurants, supermarkets and Tourist information centre, Market day is Saturday. There is an indoor swimming pool which has water shutes. There are also indoor/outdoor tennis courts.
