Ty Bois is a unique house with the WOW factor, situated in an amazing rural location. At the end of a quiet track 1 km from the nearest road and hamlet of 6 houses. The house is set in 5 acres of woodland, has a swimming pool, vaulted lounge/dining room, well equiped kitchen, 2 bedroom, 2 shower-rooms and sleeps 4 people. Ty Bois is situated in Morbihan, southern Brittany and is set in a very rural and quiet location, yet only a few minutes drive from Plumeliau with its local supermarkets, bread shops, chemist, florist and vet. Pontivy, a beautiful market town and Baud are the nearest larger towns with their markets on Monday morning and Saturday morning respectively.

The Morbihan coast is approximately 30 minutes drive, with the Harbour town of Vannes, Carnac with gently sloping sandy beaches.

At first sight Ty Bois appears to be a small wooden house set in its own five acre wood, but it's much more than that. Located down a quiet track 1 km from the closest road and hamlet of 6 houses. The house has a vaulted lounge/dining room, well equiped kitchen, two bedrooms, two shower rooms and comfortably sleeps 4 people. Photos do not do this house justice.

The house and grounds have the WOW factor as soon as you drive in through the gate and up the twisting drive past the pond to the front door. Inside it is visually dramatic with the Vaulted lounge/dining rooms and huge manorial fire place. The loung area has a large deep leather sofa and a large leather chair, two hand made Moroccan rugs and silk curtians give it a very warm feel. A flat screen TV, DVD player with a selection of DVD's, books and indoor games for your entertainment. The dining table is large enought to seat up to 8 people. French windows open onto to a verana and overlook the garden, swimming pool, BBQ and pond.

There are two attractive bedrooms. The twin downstairs is located next door to the family shower-room. The bedroom has two comfortable single beds and plenty of storage. The other, a double, is upstairs with French windows opening onto a juliet balcony looking out over the surrounding countryside. this room has en-suite shower-room, with loo, power shower, stone sink and vanity unit.

The house has a well equipped kitchen, full sixe cooker, fridge, microwave/grill/oven, dishwasher and washing machine, plentiful work surfaces and enough cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, pots and pans for up to eight people.

Outside, there is a private splash pool surrounded by decks with a selection of chairs - a purpose built BBQ and potato pit - two dining table that will seat up to 6 people each and a boules court. Pathes have been cut throught the wood to make exploring easier and benches dotted around for relaxing.

Local Area

Plumeliau is the closest town, with two supermarkets, chemist, bread shops, florist, bars and local vet. Pontivy is 15 km away and is a beautiful old market town, There are some unusual and interesting shops, very good restaurtants, various bars and a very good market on Monday mornings.

Baud is smaller than pontivy but still has an excellent restaurant the 'Cheval Blanc', a post card museum and it's market is on Saturday.

Vannes is the closest seaside town, abuot 20 minutes drive. A beautiful old harbout town with timber houses, the chateaux and gardens, lavoir, wonderful restaurants, fresh seafood being a speciallity, shops to die for and again a fantastic market on Saturday and Wednesday morning.

Carnac has sheltered gently sloping beaches and is ideal for the family. The other attraction in the area are the prehistoric standing stones/megaliths.

Karting is available just outside Plumeliau.

Bowling in Pontivy.

Camours has a forest adventure park.

Fishing on the Blavet river, it is possible to buy permits at the local Tabac's.

There is a market in a town every day of the week.

There is so much history in the area, old churches, medievel towns, chateau's, museums.

Closer to home it is possible to rent canoes on the Blavet or the local canal, go horse riding, fishing, play golf, tennis, rent bicycles or walk in the many lanes, woods, forest - all within an easy drive around the area. Or of course just stay at home and relax in the garden wine a glass of wine and some Frence bread and cheese.
