Ty Louisette is a spacious & stylish luxury gite for up to seven people (+cot), situated in the small and peaceful hamlet of Kergouet, ten minutes drive from the historic town of Pontivy in the centre of Brittany. Ty Louisette is a luxury gite situated in the small and peaceful hamlet of Kergouet, ten minutes drive from the historic town of Pontivy in the centre of Brittany. There are direct routes from the ports of St.Malo and Roscoff and the airports at Rennes, Dinard and Lorient.

The gite was rennovated over a two year period and is finished to a superior standard, featuring high quality fixtures & fittings plus all mod-cons in order for our guests to truly enjoy peace and luxury at the heart of Brittany.

The nearby town of Pontivy is an historic urban centre in the centre of Brittany. It is made up of two towns wrapped around each other. There is the medieval old town with its narrow, winding streets and half-timbered buildings, and the geometric Napoleonic town complete with imposing Hotel de Ville, courthouse and old barrack buildings arranged around the market square which fronts on to the River Blavet.

The town boasts the magnificent 15th century Chateau Rohan as its centrepiece, built by the powerful Ducs de Rohan. Guided tours are available within and art exhibitions are occasionally staged.

Pontivy is home to a number of restaurants and bars such as the "Grand Café" which is over 100 years old and "Le Rivoli" complete with a stylish art nouveau inspired interior. There are also numerous shops, boutiques and several small supermarkets and the town is almost entirely free parking. The weekly market is held on Mondays in the central plaza. You can walk or cycle the 6 km directly to Pontivy from the gite via the canal towpath.

The surrounding countryside is replete with small villages boasting innumerable chapels of architectural and historical interest. There are well laid out walks and cycle paths for you to discover the treasures of central Brittany.

Ty Louisette has four bedrooms (one double, two twins and one single). The master bedroom has stylish en suite bathroom with sink, shower, WC and heated towel rail).

The living room is complete with a modern wood burning stove, flatscreen TV with British Freeview channels and French free-to-air digital channels. French doors lead onto the rear deck.

The light and spacious kitchen features a stylish integrated oven/hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, concealed washer/dryer, concealed dishwasher, a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with French free-to-air digital channels and a Radio/CD Player with iPod & USB connectivity. French doors lead onto the seating area of the rear deck with a view over the garden.

The luxurious main bathroom has a bath with additional shower attachment, a large wetroom style shower, sink and a heated towel rail. A separate WC is next door.

There is a sunny enclosed breakfast terrace at the front of the gite, complete with wisteria providing flowers and shade in the summer. A large private enclosed garden and wooden deck are at the rear (safe for children).

There is off-road parking for three cars at the front of the gite.

Ty Louisette is one minute’s walk from the Nantes-Brest canal, with long scenic towpaths and locks to explore. Fishing is possible with a permit.

The gite owners are nearby if anything is needed.

The gite is disabled accessable. All rooms are on one level, the main bathroom and WC have space for a wheelchair to turn and there are ramps for access to the house and garden.
